Transcending known boundaries in sustainability and climate action.

Engineer Lovelyn Okoye (MNSE, MSPIN, MISSP, MNES) is an impact-driven Sustainability and Climate Action Leader from Nigeria. She currently heads the Sustainability Unit of Seven-Up Bottling Company Pan-Nigeria and serves as an Executive of the Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA).

With an engineering background and over 14 years of post-graduate experience, her expertise spans Process Engineering, Climate Action, Community Empowerment, SDGs Advocacy, Circular Economy, Sustainability Strategy and ESG Leadership.

Her journey began in 2010 through MDGs volunteering and empowerment initiatives for indigent and physically challenged communities in South Eastern Nigeria โ€” work that earned her the Most Outstanding MDGs Advocate Award (2012) and, most recently, Sustainability Practitioner of the Year at SISA 2025.

A top Green Voice known as "the ESG Governor," Lovelyn supports hard-to-abate organisations to develop decarbonisation levers, mitigate environmental and social risks, achieve regulatory compliance, and unlock green opportunities.

She holds an MBA in General Management from Ajayi Crowther University and a Certificate in Sustainable Development and the Law from the University of Cambridge. She is ISO 26000, 45001, and 14001 certified, currently pursuing a doctorate, and serves as Vice Chair II of the ESG Advisory Board of the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA).

"We all have one latent debt to pay, which is to leave the world better than we met it. So, do not die owing."
